SWIM & SPLASH - Douglass Park has the city's largest SPLASH PAD and n outdoor swimming pool that is sure to be a hit in the heat of June! Make sure the kids have their swim gear & towels. To swim all children and adults must be registered at your local community center. Please click here to register or register at any area community center.

PUPPET PALOOZA - Tarish "Jeghetto" Pipkins will be returning to Memphis to build a 10ft tall Juneteenth puppet for the Puppet Parade in the Park on Thursday, June 18th and Puppet Palooza on Friday, June 19th. Jeghetto will be at Douglass Community Center along with the Grizzlies Volunteer Team on Monday, June 15th through Wednesday, June 17th to help the kids make puppet heads for the parade & palooza. Bring your kids (all ages) to join the fun!

Literacy Corner - The Lit Meets Rec program will feature books written and published by community center camp youth and sold on Amazon! Get FREE books & more information on how your child(ren) can be a published author too!

The Youth Stage will start a noon and feature all youth performers! Young 901 singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, and more will grace the Juneteenth stage to showcase their talents, sell their merch, and grow their fan bases!
